About this place
If you’re not sure what to order at Tsuretettei, start with a Western-style classic: hamburg steak. The menu includes a 120g specially made handmade version. Diners have ordered it with rice and highlighted the flavour of the hamburg steak, its creamy sauce and the softness of the rice. The set comes with salad, rice, miso soup and pickles; you can also order the hamburg steak on its own and add rice. Other options include a melting cheese hamburg steak and one simmered in curry and finished au gratin, offering a different take on the same favourite.
For a fried main, the Japanese Black wagyu mille-feuille beef cutlet is available à la carte for 1,400 yen. Set options also pair fried prawns with items such as bite-sized kurobuta pork fillet cutlet. One diner who ordered several dishes for dinner recalled that the portions were not too large and worked well with drinks, singling out the mille-feuille cutlet and beef tongue stew as particular favourites. The tongue stew is also listed in a half portion, making it an option when you want to try several à la carte dishes. Beer and wine are available, too, so you can choose dishes to suit your meal and drinks.
At lunchtime, choices include a daily special limited to 10 servings on weekdays and a Japanese-Western bento with items such as grilled fish, fried food and salad. Rice dishes include an old-fashioned omelette rice for 800 yen and a soft omelette rice with a runny egg for 1,100 yen. There are options for days when you want a hearty Western-style meal as well as when you’d rather eat a little lighter.
